Children understand digital tech better than adults

An Ofcom report published on Thursday has declared that an average six-year-old understands more about digital technology than the average 45-year-old. The test used didn’t measure intelligence but gauged awareness and self confidence around gadgets such as tablets, smart watches, knowledge of superfast internet, 4G mobile phone networks and mobile phone apps. The highest scores were from 14-15 year olds, with the scores dropping during adulthood with a big decline in old age. Full Guardian article.
